Reverend Heather Dawn Dixon

Reverend Heather Dawn Dixon is an ordained minister of the New Testament Assembly UK, Tooting, whose life and ministry reflect unwavering faith, sacrificial obedience, and quiet excellence. Born in Jamaica and immigrating to the United Kingdom at the age of nine, she discerned a clear call to ministry in her teenage years and has faithfully lived out that calling for more than four decades in devoted service to God, the Church, and the wider community.

In a profound act of faith, Reverend Dixon relinquished a successful career as a Legal Executive Director in Property and Conveyancing to serve the Church full time. Though this decision involved significant personal and professional sacrifice, she continues to offer her legal expertise in advisory capacities, strengthening governance and stewardship within the Church and beyond.

Her early ministry began at her local NTA church in Putney, where she served as Church Treasurer, Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and a respected youth preacher. She later transitioned to the New Testament Assembly UK Headquarters in Tooting, serving as Church Administrator under the founding leadership of Bishop Melvin Powell and Bishop Donald Bernard, under whose guidance she was ordained. Over forty years, she has served faithfully under four Bishops.

Reverend Heather has made a lasting impact in children’s and youth ministry, establishing a Children’s Steelpan Orchestra, flag worship ministry, and a fifty-strong Sunday School Choir that gained national recognition through BBC Songs of Praise. She also led Praise in the Park, London’s largest annual Christian outdoor worship event, drawing approximately 6,000 attendees.

Currently, she serves as Funeral and Bereavement Coordinator at NTA Tooting, leading one of the Church’s most demanding ministries with grace, professionalism, and deep compassion. Her annual Service of Hope Remembrance Service drew over 600 attendees in 2025, and her work has been recognised in Unsung Heroes Magazine.

She is married to her devoted husband, Oral, and together they are blessed with two children and three grandchildren.
