Lucy Kangombe
Lucy Kangombe was born and raised in Lusaka Zambia and moved to the United Kingdom in 2002. Lucy is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a Fellow Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). Lucy has been involved in the management of Health & Social care for over 20 years.
Through her own life experiences and identifying a gap in the care and support of others, Lucy decided to set up her Care Organisation. In May 2013 Olive Leaf Health & Homecare Limited was born. Its intention, to make a difference in the lives of people they support. For those that work with them to have an opportunity for their own new beginnings providing a platform for opportunity of self-growth to enable them to make a difference in their own lives.
Olive Leaf currently has its head office in Bristol and offers its service to the whole of the Southwest, offering approximately 3000 hours of care per week they employ a total of 80 employees from varying backgrounds, each with their own ‘Big Why’ to tell.
As one of her team members have indicated “Lucy gives from within herself to impact the lives of the staff and the service users positively”. Lucy does not see a problem just a situation that needs a change she leads others to reaching a resolution.
From stories told, it has been a long road filled with many challenges, perseverance, and determination, which have all played a part in the birth and growth of Olive Leaf Healthcare.
Lucy has a passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Her leadership has helped many team members to adopt a growth mindset as she is a strong believer in helping people grow into the best version of themselves. As an innovator she has helped many other organizations flourish by introducing fresh ideas and being a voice that continues to push the industry she works in forward.
