Evalyn lives in Bristol, UK and was born in Kenya, East Africa.
Evalyn is a devoted Christian, wife, mother to 2 young adults sons and a career woman who has served the Kenyan community in Bristol for many years.
Since her early days as a young mother, she has been a committed secretary, playing a vital role in uniting and supporting the community.
Evelyn completed her nursing degree while continuing her service in the community and is now a ward sister which is a challenging role in itself.
Evelyn holds a leadership role in her church (Powerhouse Church Bristol) and is also in the leadership for Bristol Interdenominational Fellowship, and Wise Women Bristol Chapter, actively contributing to praise and worship, prayer teams, and community initiatives.
She is among the founding members of Bristol Interdenominational Fellowship, which has been running for a decade, endeavouring to bring the community to worship together regardless of individual different domination.
The fellowship celebrated its 10 years anniversary last year.
Evelyn has maintained the community database for nearly 15 years to date and has been instrumental in connecting people to church and local networks while working alongside other organisations.
In 2024, Evelyn led a Benevolent Initiative, now with 310 members, providing crucial financial and emotional support to those in need.
She also spearheaded a fundraising drive for Kenyan flood victims, raising funds and ensuring full transparency.
Respected and valued by all, Evelyn is a pillar of the community—selfless, accountable, dedicated and passionate in uplifting others.
