Proverbs 31 states “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Honour her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.â€
The bible makes it clear that women who fear God are to be praised, and there’s no doubt that there are many women within the Christian community and beyond who are making strides within their chosen ministries and business endeavours, who fail to get the acknowledgment and respect they deserve for the work that they do. With this fact in mind, Wisdom for Women International is once again joining forces with Keep The Faith magazine to hold the 8th Wise Women Awards to give honour to and recognise the contribution and achievements of women who, as stated in Proverbs 31, ‘fear the Lord’.
Christian women from the black community and beyond, who have made an impact in the church and wider society, will be able to attend an inspirational and memorable awards ceremony that will take place on Saturday March 17, 2012 at the Hilton London Paddington Hotel, 146 Praed Street, London W2 1EE.
Guests at the Wise Women Awards will enjoy a three course meal, entertainment from some of the UK’s leading gospel artists and an awards ceremony, where women, nominated by YOU, the public, will be presented with a prestigious award.
The Wise Women Awards promises to inspire, uplift and inform, and provide a platform where some of the major achievements of black Christian women in Britain will be highlighted.
