Pastor Simone Olagoke is married with two children. Born in Jamaica, Simone moved to the United Kingdom when she was 9 years old in the pursuit of a “better life” where she obtained her Degree in Sociology. Her steps indeed were ordered by God to fulfil a life of ministry and purpose – significantly when she was ordained as a Pastor in 2009, under the leadership of Bishop John & Co-Pastor Penny Francis, founders and senior leaders of Ruach City Church & the Ruach Network of Churches.
Simone has grown fruitfully and excelled in the ministry under the covering of her leadership and faithfully serves Ruach City Church as an Elder. She has recently been appointed Resident Elder for Ruach City Church, Birmingham location and her desire is to have a positive impact in the local community. Simone also is co-leader of the church’s Outreach Ministry, alongside her husband, Elder Lanre Olagoke. Simone has preached internationally – travelling throughout Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and South America.
Since 2009 Simone with her husband has led the Outreach Ministry for Ruach City Church covering Prison, Evangelism, Homeless and Missions teams supporting 1,000’s of individuals. Simone’s heart to support those in need also extends into her employment with Missions Direct, a Christian charity as a Regional Manager where she is responsible for missions work in Brazil, Dominica Republic, India, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Moldova.
Simone’s heartbeat that motivates her is based on scripture in John 15:16 NIV ‘You did not choose me, I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.’
