In 1998, aged 67 Enid Jackson founded Culture Dementia UK to raise awareness of dementia within Britain’s black community. As its Chair, Enid has travelled across the UK to raise awareness about dementia in schools, churches, women’s groups and in the media. Alongside its educational role, Culture Dementia also provides care for sufferers and respite and information for the carers.
