RENÉE DAVIS

ReneeRenée is unique and deserves this nomination having demonstrated tenacity, leadership, stewardship and diligence whilst maintaining her faith and impact on others.

I have watched her grow and witnessed excellence at her events, she has been a pleasure to mentor. She has budding leadership potential and already is looked up to by her peers with humility, grace, patience and excellence.

Renée is a Full time journalist/editorial assistant for The Salvation Army’s weekly newspaper The War Cry.

She has interviewed some of the most prominent Christians in the public eye – Fred Hammond, DeVon Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Micah Stampley, Candi Staton, MPs, actors and more.

With The War Cry, Renèe has also had the opportunity to go to Israel and report on a Holy Land Tour.

In 2014, Renée singlehandedly set up an online hub for aspiring or budding young creatives and entrepreneurs to encourage them pursue their passions and things they are talented at instead of getting trapped in a restrictive 9-5. This is done through interviews and articles on the Out The Box website showcasing the journeys of other young talent.
In September 2015, Renée created Out The Box Live. An inspirational networking evening for 16-30 year old young creatives and entrepreneurs. The first free event was held at London’s Google Campus. Among the evening’s speakers were an author, a social media guru, an award winning BBC actor and myself (you). The young people in attendance networked with one another, made connections and left inspired.

In November 2015, Renèe was selected to be a One Young World ambassador. The summit took place in Bangkok, Thailand and brought together 1,300 of the world’s brightest young leaders from 120+ countries to discuss global issues and the solutions available.

The War Cry, which Renée writes for, has a readership of 40,000 per week. It is sold in local towns by sellers and tellers, and has a large prison ministry. So far Out The Box has been read by thousands of people across the globe.

The first young people’s event built lasting creative connections among attendees. Hosted at London’s Google building.

In December 2010, Renée moved away from her family, friends and hometown of Birmingham to London to work for The War Cry. For a year, the adjustment was socially, financially and relationally difficult, but with God’s help, Renee made it through.

Renée has been doing this for 5 (Five) years. She is an inspiration and a shining example to her peers and those who come in to contact with her.
