The highly distinguished women listed below have the awesome task of choosing the nominees and winner of the Wise Women Awards


ANGELA SARKIS CBE

Angela Sarkis CBE is a leading figure in the charity world. Previous roles has seen her serve as a BBC Governor and CEO of the Church Urban Fund. She made history when in 2006 when she became the first woman and first black person to be appointed to the role of CEO of world famous charity The YMCA. She is currently a board member of the Youth Justice Board and serves as an advisor to The Ascension Trust, which founded Street Pastors in 2003.

SHARON PENNANT

Sharon Pennant, a trained solicitor, nurse and midwife is the CEO of the Council of Black Led Churches, the leading representative body for black Christians in the West Midlands. Seeing women developed is of prime importance for Sharon who is also national director for WIMN UK, an international ministry which supports women in leadership, ministry and business.

DIONNE GRAVESANDE

Dionne Gravesande is Head of Churches & Young Peoples Relationships at leading development charity Christian Aid. She is also a member of the New Testament Church of God and currently serves on the board of the National Youth and Christian Education, leading in the area of Training and Development. Dionne is a contributor to Keep The Faith magazine.

DIAHANNE RHINEY

Award winning business woman Diahanne Rhiney is founder and CEO of successful marketing and PR agency, 15 Degrees which specialise in diverse marketing and has offices in the UK, Atlanta and Ghana. In 2009 she was presented with the ‘Everywoman Athena Award. Diahanne is Chair of the Harmony Foundation CIC (Community Interest Company) that campaigns to help young people who are at risk of failing in the educational system.

CHARMAINE NOBLE-MCLEAN

Charmaine Noble-McLean serves as Director of Content at Premier Radio, one of the UK’s leading Christian Radio stations. She joined the station soon after leaving University, and has risen through the ranks. During the course of her career has interviewed some of Britain’s foremost Christians, as well as leading movers and shakers in wider society. A committed Christian, Charmaine is a wife and mother and attends an Anglican church.

BUNMI FOLARIN

Bunmi Folarin is a Lead Business Analyst at BP Oil International, where she is also a leader of the Business Analysis community of Practice and a member of the Potential Council affinity group, committed to helping BP employees reach their full potential through various internal and external programmes.  Bunmi holds a degree in Software Engineering and is currently studying for an MBA in Oil and Gas management. She is a member of Triumphant Church International and is the Director of Administration @ Wisdom for Women international.
